À propos de David Nissen:

“I’m working as a Director of Photography on feature films and in advertising, also as Photographer as a hobby. For me, cinematography and photography are two passions that merge and feed off one another, writing a story with the light. I’m a huge fan of Andrei Tarkovsky, my approach to this arty film and those photos was to be both brutal and poetic like this factory and those angels girls who inspired me of, an imagery highly atmospheric”

Sur le film Angels :

“I had a strange dream last night, I was looking at the sky, and it was very very light, soft and high, well above me, it seemed to boil slowly, as if the light had materialized, like the fibers of a sunny fabric, like silk stitches, alive in a piece of Japanese embroidery. And these tiny fibers, carriers of light, living threads, seemed to move and float and become like birds, soaring so high that they could never be reached. So high that if the birds lost feathers, the feathers would not fall, they would not descend to earth, they would fly upwards, be carried away and disappear from our world forever. And powerful and enchanted music flowed from this great height. The music seemed to sound like the chimes of small bells, or the song of the birds sounded like music in a carnal envelope of an isolated and abandoned factory.

They are angels! I suddenly heard someone say and woke up.

A strange and magnificent dream. I sometimes have wonderful dreams.”

Inspired by the cinema and poetry of Andrei Tarkovsky.
