On Sunday, February 19 a thousands of New Yorkers gathered in Times Square to show support for Muslim communities everywhere. Demonstrations have become a daily event in the city, but this one had a more positive vibe – Muslims are not only welcome in our community, but deserve the rights and respect of all citizens.
The series of photographs is part of my project about protest and resistance in conjunction with our new president and the inauguration ceremonies of a month ago.
I will continue to document protest in all its manifestations as we in the United States (and the world) learn to navigate through the new maze of Trumpism.
