The Youth Code takes adolescence as its subject, a theme widely represented in contemporary photography. The exhibition is curated by Nathalie Herschdorfer.
Adolescents form their own social group. No longer children, but not yet adults, they have their own codes. Many artists are attracted to this period of transition, which is both physical and psychological. The Youth Code gives viewers the chance to discover 20 such artists from across the world. Their work, mainly photographs, but a few video installations, explores different facets of adolescence.
The exhibition features the work of Ole John Aandal, Anoush Abrar, Stéphanie Marie Couson, Denis Darzacq, Jen Davis, David Favrod, Martine Fougeron, Julia Fullerton-Batten, Ina Jang, Anouk Kruithof, Ji Hyun Kwon, Jennifer Loeber, Ryan McGinley, Sung Jin Park, Dana Popa, Willem Popelier, Augustin Rebetez, Viviane Sassen, Nicolas Savary and Dona Schwartz.
