From February 19th through March 20th, the Gallery Côté Seine in Bagatelle park in Paris will hold the first Festival of Young European Photography. Under the name Circulation(s), this event, organized by the Fêtart association, will present a 360° view of the new generation of European photographers.
Created in 2005 and run by Marion Hislen, Fêtart has already positioned itself as a veritable showcase for talent. It was during the 2008 Parisian « Mois de la Photo » (Photo Month) that the association decided to go far beyond its horizons by organizing an exhibition featuring 21 European photographers. Following this initial success and the desire to make it last, the project evolved into an internet event called Entrevues: every two months, two European photographers discuss their visions.
This is how the idea of the Festival came to fruition in such a natural way. Circulation(s) aims to encourage exchanges and develop the cultural space shared by Europeans, via the photographic medium.
As part of the Festival’s program, an exhibition featuring 37 photographers invites us to discover new visions from all corners of Europe.
