Chris Leskovsek, There’s no one here

Preview
I decided to work on a series that summarises my search of belonging in NZ, where fate has been the journey itself. I found peace that way. It is not necessarily a pictorial version of NZ like everyone knows, but rather an introspective one, maybe a nostalgic side of it.
This is a long personal journey through the vast landscapes which sometimes feels like uncharted land. I realised that NZ lives in a weird balance: A country that borders with two different oceans, where you can have 4 seasons in one day and where the people from the north is very different to the people from the south, but all somehow live in harmony together in this rugged island.  That simply amazes me. Perhaps that is exactly what I was looking through… balance.
This photos show reality and fiction, light and shadows, struggles and beauty, there’s calm and time, which in this series is not meant to go fast.
