Columnas
The columns, an architectural element of balance and stability, characteristics also sought in the photographs of the “Columnas” project. Visiting Pompeii, my gaze was captured by these elements, and in almost all the photographs, the column is a fundamental part. A predominant element in the most important Domus and in the entire Pompeian site, still intact and imposing, they are admired, reaching towards the divine, as if to support an imaginary covering.
