Self-portraits
A series of broken-face self-portraits or how to veil the face of images to bring out a vision drawn from the metallic reflections of a work by Franck Scurty. An artistic recycling, a foundation, a base, a material, a substrate. Invite yourself into art, imprint yourself in public space and express yourself a singular image, imprint yourself on the landscape and by distortion climb the line, become imperfectly illegible. Twist the photograph, a battlefield, a photographic smear, the disfigured image, monographic remains, fatal landscapes. And without forgery, reproduce, describe themselves, describe themselves, transcribe themselves by disaggregation, deformation, disinformation. Metamorphose.
