91 years old, Carmen Dell’Orefice who is in my book (with many others) the first supermodel is back on the cover of Vogue (Czechoslovakia) photographed by Albert Watson for the issue of April 2023.
Her first Vogue cover was shot by Erwin Blumenfeld, it was for the October 15, 1947 issue!
She had started the year before with Irving Penn, Cecil Beaton, followed John Rawlings, Richard Rutledge, Richard Avedon and the list goes on… to Bruce Weber and Peter Lindbergh.
She has never ceased to inspire photographers, fashion designers, anybody she crossed path with, myself included.
The Lady is the living proof that real beauty can be eternal.
