There is a 1000 square kilometer no man’s land surrounding the Fukushima nuclear power plant. This dead zone is undoubtedly the most brutal and visible trace of the nuclear accident. More than 110,000 people had to pack their bags and leave ghost towns behind them. With little or no street lighting, empty streets and abandoned shops, for the past year, time has been suspended.
These cold, raw photographs show the malaise felt faced with these forsaken lands.
