9 photo series were awarded with the CAP Prize, the prize for contemporary African photography, will be presented for the first time in Zurich as part of a large-format open-air exhibition in Rieterpark.
The CAP Prize for Contemporary African Photography is aimed at photographers whose work has been produced on the African continent or deals with an African diaspora. The prize consists of a series of exhibitions in collaboration with leading photography institutions and festivals in Africa and the rest of the world.
This exhibition includes the 9 contemporary photo series on Africa that have been awarded with the CAP Prize 2020 and 2021. The artists are:

The CAP Prize aims to raise the profile of African photography in the arts and to stimulate a rethinking of the image of Africa. Each year, five winners are selected by an international jury, enabling the promotion of African photography worldwide. The CAP Prize is open to artists of all ages and backgrounds.
