The starred restaurant Le Taillevent is initiating an art project which invites four art photographers to create a still life symbolizing the essence of a season at its table. Candice Milon is the first selected to capture her assignment of spring. Continuing just up to next year are the images for summer, autumn and winter and the photo exhibition in Le Taillevent’s Saturne room.
“After having talked with the chef Alain Solivérès, the pastry chef François Daubinet and the head sommelier Stéphane Jan about the spring menu, we selected together the season’s essential products,” explains Candice Milon. “It wasn’t about staging plated dishes and prepared products in this photograph, but about evoking this idea of spring through authenticity and the pure excellence of the chosen products in a fashion that corresponds to the values and vision of Le Taillevent’s art of living. I took part in staging the products in a light, animated manner on a clothed table. We are neither in the kitchen nor in the restaurant, but somewhere between the two where the products come alive through creativity.”
