Loft Photo in Brussels will be exhibiting Salvados, a series by Mathias de Lattre, through June 30th, 2015. The greyhound appears throughout the histories of kings and art. But some of these “high-born” animals would have been better off never being born at all. They are beaten or abandoned by their masters as punishment for poor performance at the racetrack. These Iberian greyhounds were adopted by families, animal rights groups and breeders. Mathias de Lattre began taking their portraits in 2012.
