We are on the way to Base Camp, advancing really well. Instead of 10 days we will reach BC presumably in 9 days. The hike is strenuous and every day the air gets thinner and our steps heavier. On “rest days” we climb mountains, for better acclimatization. So far acclimatization has gone surprisingly well. Which is not the case for everybody. We have seen more than one trekker who had to turn around to get back down to lower elevations.
