Northern Ireland’s premier visual arts festival, Belfast Photo Festival, has officially opened in galleries and public spaces throughout the city. The festival runs for the month of June and this year’s compelling works from international visual artists are intended to lead audiences on journeys through a variety of places, histories and perspectives.
This edition of Belfast Photo Festival explores how artists in the contemporary moment are interpreting the idea of the ‘journey’ as a subject of art.
