Atelier Gens d’images – Christian Caujolle – Wednesday, April 20 at ADAGP

Preview

Atelier Gens d’images presents on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at 7 p.m. an event with Christian Caujolle:
Christian Caujolle and Cambodian photography, the story of a commitment

From 1997, when he created his first workshop in Phnom Penh, where photography, laminated like other forms of artistic expression, had disappeared during the Khmer Rouge terror, until today when he continues to animate the Photo Phnom Penh festival, Christian Caujolle considers his intervention in Cambodia as a commitment.

In a country where there is no fixed image training, the festival he created in 2008 has allowed the emergence of a surprisingly creative and diverse “new school”.

Former head of photography for the daily newspaper Liberation, Christian Caujolle, founder of Agence VU, directed the gallery of the same name. He is now the artistic advisor of the Château d’Eau gallery in Toulouse.

This eventwill be moderated by Philippe Guionie, director of Residence 1+2.

The Gens d’images workshop will be followed, on site, by a friendly beverage.

Free access within the limit of available sits.
