In this ongoing (2007-) project the artist has been exploring the everyday life in Latvia. Around 2006 Latvia was one of the fastest growing countries economically in the European Union. A few years later, as a result of crisis, Latvia became the poorest. These snapshots reflect the consequences of these changes, yet reveal things that always have been there. Landscapes, interiors, still lives and a reportage – it all creates a narrative of what Latvia is in the 21st century.
