With a feign shooting lightness , those who took the name of their heroine who disappeared without leaving a forwarding address, transform it into short-lived eternity, whose veil invites a discreet indiscretion. After having done some investigation the two designers let themselves indulge in an evocation which is not documentary. With their own bodies they surrender themselves to the dizzying pleasure of telling the story of a woman and the history of the universal woman through a mixing of images that recalls the worlds of Sarah Moon, Sophie Calle, Coco Chanel.
The images challenge the well-policed laws of gravity and focus the attention on the feminine. It is best perceived where depth is evident. An enigmatic shiver runs through it. The thrill is never far away. Such an approach is deeply fulfilling and it doesn’t matter if the mystery remains. The work is the result of a slow process of approaches and revisions. It is about clearing the permanent features, of leaving only legible traces. Other eyelids open to the memory, opening onto the “whitening” limbs of a lost corpse. It shows itself, hides, thinks. Its heartbeat will stay muffled, coming from the depths eaten up by shadows for the heart and emotion.
