Water Haiku
Nature always creates visual connections following a rythm and showing patterns of temporary forms : I like to capture the simple beauty of these ephemeral moments which are often overlooked. Water Haiku is part of my project on the exploration of the visual language of nature in its state of flux. It focuses on water interacting with rocks or plants, creating abstractions and distortions that mirror the tumultuous life above and below the surfaceand transforming itself in a flow of energies.
These photos were taken in one of the places I like most in Dolomites, the Lake of Federa : the scenery of the Croda da Lago reflecting in its waters and the very special flora populating this high-altitude expanse of water have always fascinated me but I was particularly touched by the constant change produced by water and light on the lake and on the plants surface (Potamogeton graminens and Anacharis canadensis), just after an intense summer rain.
