Charlène Dray is an ethologist and a doctor in performing arts. In her thesis, she analyzes her own creations, she composes with living things and learns to interpret the behavior of horses. Her two traveling companions, Listan and Luzio, become designers at her side. From theater to theater, they accompany her in her most daring experiments. In order to better understand them, and driven by her genius creative will, she invents and offers them various devices, projects lights and images on them, then observes their reactions. It thus traces a new knowledge, around the intelligence of the horse and the empathic function that it maintains with the human being. Accompanied by Joy, her sister, and the dog Willoow, Charlène stays for a week of residency at the National Theater of Grasse where Luzio and Listan become the privileged actors of her imagination.
Horses are wonderful and very sensitive beings. They have the ability to feel human emotions, which is why it is said that you should not be stressed to ride a horse, or that they are very gentle with people with disabilities. According to Charlène Dray, what motivates them to accept the various requests that she asks of them is the simple satisfaction of making her happy. They are happy when she congratulates them.
