On April 7, 2020 Abbas Kowsari travelled to the small town of Qaemshahr in Mazandaran Province where a COVID-19 outbreak had been reported. He photographed the houses, the local hospital, the group efforts of the local population to sew masks, make disinfecting liquids and bury the dead.
