A.galerie presents Platinum by Beth Moon.
American photographer Beth Moon is world renowned for her photographs of trees. She tracked down the oldest trees in the world in their ultimate refuges, bearing witness to an incredible heritage, which should be recognised and protected globally.
A project which, over the years, has led her to travel the world to meet these wooden giants that fascinate her so much: United States, Europe, Asia, Middle East, Africa… All her subjects have for common point a disproportionate size, a very old age or an outstanding history.
To highlight them more, Beth Moon uses a breathtaking technique: the platinum print. This process, popular with collectors, is renowned for its beautiful luminosity and wide range of tones ranging from cold blacks, neutral grays to rich sepia browns.
Beth Moon will also exhibit her work at the Festival Photo La Gacilly from June 1st to October 1st, 2023.
