VETEMENTS will be published by IDEA on January 23rd 2016. The book was photographed by Pierre-Ange Carlotti in the days before, during and after the Vetements Spring Summer 2016 show in Paris. It is the first Vetements book and the first IDEA collaboration with a fashion label. At 300 pages, it is the most comprehensive document of a fashion collection ever published.
Released in an edition of just 500 copies, VETEMENTS will be launched in Paris during Men’s Fashion Week at the Comme des Garçons Trading Museum. The book will also be available from IDEA at Dover Street Market London, New York and Ginza, Tokyo, at select stores internationally and via www.idea-books.com.
Vetements is one of the most exciting fashion companies in the world. Incredibly the brand’s first collection was presented in Paris as recently as 2014. The label was launched by Demna Gvasalia, who was appointed creative director of Balenciaga in November of last year. However, Vetements is very much a collective of creative forces. The stylist Lotta Volkova and the model Paul Hameline feature frequently in the pages of the book – amid a core group of hard working and partying young designers.
Pierre-Ange Carlotti is a Corsican photographer based in Paris. His first solo show Bored and Naked featured intimate portraits of his friends and lovers. He works for Purple, M le Monde and Butt Magazine. VETEMENTS is his brilliant debut book.

The Willy Vanderperre book 635 took 10 days from the first idea to being printed, shipped and sold out. Gosha’s Youth Hotel sold out its 500 copies in one day! VETEMENTS will also be a very fast one. First discussed at a party in London in December the book will be gone and all but legend by the first of February!
VETEMENTS is the second book published by IDEA in 2016 following Naked Heartland by Willy Vanderperre. In 2015, IDEA published Collier Schorr’s Contacts, 635 by Willy Vanderperre, Youth Hotel by Gosha Rubchinskiy and Derek Ridgers’ The Others.
