The Bibliothèque Château d’Eau and the Mairie of the 10th arrondissement of Paris present the 4th edition of the Rencontres Photographiques festival, which began October 20 and lasts until December 3, 2011.
Since its inception in 2005, the biennial Rencontres has met with increasing success. The event’s head curator, Carlo Werner, has brought together around one hundred amateur and professional photographers of diverse styles and backgrounds. The main exhibition, curated by Emmanuelle Schmitt and located in the 10th arrondissements’s town hall, features the work of 15 photographers. More than sixty galleries, cultural spaces and other community partners have opened their doors to the festival.
Admission is free for all exhibitions and events.
