Monday, July 4th, for its opening night, Voies Off Festival invited FotoIstanbul for an “Istanbul Special” night. This young photography festival celebrated its second birthday in October 2015, with approximately fifty exhibitions.
Offering a selection of the great masters of photography, including Ara Guler, Robert Franck, Josef Koudelka, and Anders Petersen, the festival knew how to attract the planet’s emerging photographers and make some real room for Turkish photography.
Through a thirty-minute projection, artistic director and founder Attila Durak presented an overview of FotoIstanbul 2015’s exhibitions, offering Voies Off’s audience a voyage to the heart of Istanbul and of all the cultures.
