For Natalie Goldstein, the journey from in front of the camera to behind it has been about finding a deep relationship with her own sense of artistic perspectives. Her inspiration comes from the everyday and she enjoys working with natural light and the illuminating effect it has on the human form.
The combination of both gentle and bold lighting is a significant aspect of Natalie’s work and was the hallmark of her first major show ‘Duality 2012‘, which featured in London for over a year. The series was showcased by Marylebone-based gallery, Imitate Modern, and shot against a textured background of decaying wallpaper. It also included a striking 3D lenticular piece called ‘Pendulum‘.
Last year, Natalie unveiled a series of metallic mounted black and white photographs titled ‘Purity, Seduction and Misconception’. These were shot at an exquisite U.S coastal location and featured top ballerinas from world-renowned
contemporary dance company, Rambert.
