This portfolio about night is part of my current project that deals with memory, travel and cities. My main concern is how to relate these themes with photography and the fragment.
In these photographs, taken in different cities and years, I follow the concept of film montage to order the photographs in sequences, in a free manner, to explore the past, infancy, and representation. A question of most importance in this way of editing is how a photograph triggers a memory. Do we remember, as in a movie, a whole event or just a series of unrelated images, following one after another as flashes, each one generating different memories?
