The Galerie Huraux recently opened in the heart of the Cité des Sacres in Reims, France. Directors Philippe and David Huraux are putting together an eclectic, multidisciplinary program focused on art, culture and photography in particular. Their first exhibition is Nouvelles images de la Terre (New Images of Earth) by Yann Arthus-Bertrand, featuring twenty photography of Earth, which are all on sale.
In 2000, his “Earth from Above” free exhibition was set up on numerous big posters on the gates of Jardins du Luxembourg in Paris. It then travelled worldwide from Lyon to Montreal, in 150 cities and was visited by 120 million people.
Yann Arthus Bertrand learned photography from lions in Kenya in 1976. He is the author of the bestselling photo book La Terre vue du ciel, with 3.5 million copies sold. Today he splits his time between film, photography, his foundation and other charitable initiatives. His motto: photography should be accessible to everyone and at low prices. He dislikes the idea of limited, numbered and vintage prints. His studio is opened in Paris, rue de Seine.
