The W. Eugene Smith Fund announced it is now accepting applications for its 45th annual Grant in Humanistic Photography, which will award a single grant of $30,000. An additional $10,000 grant will be awarded as a Fellowship, and a third entry will receive a $7,500 grant as special recognition by the judges. Thanks to additional financial support, the Smith Fund will provide than $55,000 in grants and fellowships and more than $6,000 in entry fee waivers to underrepresented photographers around the world.
The Smith Fund is also accepting applications for the 7th annual Eugene Smith Student Grant ($5,000). Since the Fund’s inception in 1979, it has awarded over $1.3 million to photographers around the world.
The deadline for submitting applications for all grants is October 8, 2024.
