The photographic agency VII recently announced the arrival of several new members. Anush Babajanyan, Zackary Canepari, Linda Bournane Engelberth, Ziyah Gafic, Ilvy Njiokiktjien, Carlos Javier Ortiz, Ruddy Roye and Nichole Sobecki are the happily new incomers.
Dr. Paul Lowe, Daniel Schwartz, Maggie Steber and Sara Terry also join the agency as Emeritus members.
VII was created on September 9, 2011 by 9 photoreporters (Alexandra Boulat, Ron Haviv, Gary Knight, Antonin Kratochvil, Christopher Morris, James Nachtwey, John Stanmeyer). The agency has offices in New York, Paris and Los Angeles. She is also known for her self-financing model. Only the member photographers participate in its operation and direct it. Since 2011, it has enabled the development of collective projects like Fatal Neglect (Neglect Fatal), in partnership with Médecins Sans Frontières, giving voice to the millions of people left without care (Ron Haviv and John Stanmeyer). In 2015, VII launched the European Workshops Series Collective Workshop Program.
