The artist Claudia Kunin recently sent us her latest video works, giving life to the old daguerreotype photographic technique. To be experienced at best, these videos must be watched in a dark room, in full screen, with 3D glasses red/cyan. The still and old-fashioned images become animated, giving a strange atmosphere. Simple stories are reminiscent of personal dramas or little stories made from nothing. The resulting is as amazing as it is mysterious.
Born in 1954 in Los Angeles, California, Claudia Kunin graduated from the University of Oregon in Psychology in 1976. Her video work is among the collections of the Smithsonian Institute and Getty Research Institute.
