We received from the VASA Foundation this exhibition portfolio, Guidelines Routine, by Ramona Zordini with this text:
This exhibition invites the viewer to leave the world of representationalism and engage in the challenge of “unpacking” the image while simultaneously constructing meaning. Ramona reminds us that the world as we know it is not true, that “Layer upon layering the world is made up… people’s personalities are stratified on them, but the body does so too, stratifying starting from what is most fragile and vital, composing itself like an onion layer upon layer up to the skin. so also plants, the vegetal world, the whole of nature and the world itself are stratified from the skin to the innermost core.”
The challenge to the artist and viewer alike is to deconstruct while at the same time constructing meaning. This exhibition provides us with such an experience.
