The Dutch Unseen Fair begins on September, 22th in Amsterdam. The fair will occur until September, 24th. Unseen hosts around fifty galleries, presenting “première”, mostly unshown works by artists before.
Unseen will also include exhibitions, conferences and debates, workshops, screenings of films and portfolios. A market for photobooks is also to be discovered.
The exhibitions presented this year are quite diverse. Thus, Erik Kessels and Thomas Mailaender shows Photo Pleasure Palace, an exhibition of absurd photographs and other quirks reappropriated by the two artists. The Currency of Ideas by Lana Mesic, deepens the concept of value. His photography series explores this notion and its impact on individuals at the start of the economic and financial crisis of 2008 in the City of London. Finally, Beyond 2020 By Japanese Photography # 5 presents the original work of six emerging photographers (Yusuke Yamatani, Kohey Kanno, Yosuke Yajima, Kenji Hirasawa, Junpei Ueda, Haruyuki Shirai).
Not to be forget at the same moment, Foam Fotografiemuseum will host Foam Talent, an exhibition gathering 20 artists to be noted this year, selected by the museum itself.
