The exhibition Inside the Mirror at the Galerie Madé is a retrospective of the work of Jean-François Lepage. In this show, Lepage, a fashion photographer noted for his singular style, reconciles the two media in which he works, photography and painting, a dual passion that dates back to his beginnings as an artist.
Lepage’s distorted, abstract women go along with his aesthetic game, consenting to his camera as if to a fetish, resulting in captivating images that one might say were painted in the medium of photography.
In addition to his artistic work, which has been exhibited around the world, Jean-François Lepage is a renowned fashion photographer who has worked for several international magazines and luxury brands.
A solo exhibition of his work was held at the 2013 edition of the International Festival of Contemporary Fashion and Photography in Hyères.
