One of our dogs died last year. He was a great friend, and because our second dog couldn’t stay home alone, we decided to find her a new partner. His name is Roef. Unknown breed. Long white hair with partly black head, ears and tail. He is very friendly and a little perky too.
Twice a day our dogs have a walk of about an hour. One of those in the sands of the “Cadettenkamp”. There I noticed how great the dogs live together. New dogs are investigated. Normally newbies are accepted. Without wondering where the new dog comes from. Once accepted the newcomer is part of the group. Forever.
For a three-month period I made photos of the dogs in the “Cadettenkamp”. I did so sitting on my knees. Because dogs are much faster than we are, I had to guess all the time what their next move would be. For that reason I needed a little more than my usual skills to get good shots.
Fortunately most dog owners accepted my presence with my camera. Moreover, some of them agreed posing with their dog. Thank you all!
