He is a photographer. His name is Thierry Bouët, for 11 years he has sent a postcard to Prince George at Kensington Palace every week.
The prince never answered him! He writes:
In 2024, thanks to the postcards that I send to Prince George, future king of England, I am recording a handmade Tour de France.
The starting line of the large loop is from the Parisian pavement, in January and on foot. Street photography is a virtuoso exercise consisting of hanging out anywhere while remaining unnoticed everywhere.
Usually my photoshoots require some degree of planning. Here it is a question of not planning anything and putting oneself at the mercy of a scene or a detail likely to be commented on to his highness.
France will never thank me for the reputation I gave it to its turbulent neighbor, England.
Besides, Prince George or his family do not thank me either for the eleven years of correspondence at the rate of one postcard per week.
I have become accustomed to expecting nothing from those I involve in my practices without consent. I’m just serving myself.
