The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Paris is organizing the exhibition Théâtre de l’humanité, gathering together Dutch photographers Koos Breukel, Sander Troelstra, and Bart Koetsier. All three are interested in the common man, and for them, humanity is theatre.
Koos Breukel, a renowned Dutch portraitist, will be showing a selection of famous and unknown compatriots, whereas Bart Koetsier roamed through the city at night documenting what happens as the rest of the world sleeps. As for Sander Troelstra, he is passionate about the human condition. These three photographers with different approaches share a fascination for human irony.
This exhibition coincides with Le Boekanbal, which is officially opening the 2017-2018 Dutch cultural season in France.
