Returns on the preselection
“We made the bet to change the award while keeping its original DNA,” says Nathalie Martin. I believe we have responded to an expectation of artists who claim original and demanding awards. And demanding, this Prize really is, since we ask the winners to create original works photography and music that can be adapted to all the places where they will exhibited: the salon approche, the gallery Bigaignon in Paris, the Museum Swimming pool in Roubaix, the Stop on Image gallery in Bordeaux. ”
Emilia Genuardi and Elsa Janssen, directors of the exhibition and artistic advisors for photography: “The study of the files was an exciting first step. We were enthusiastic about the quality and accuracy of the files; and also by the multiplicity of the courses and profiles of the candidates aged 20 to 55 years old, in formations or still of different artistic maturity. We look forward to presenting the 9 selected duos to our jury in January “.
Olivier Bouley, founder of Les Pianissimes festival and artistic consultant for music: “I was impressed by the great diversity of projects, their high level of quality. All types of music are represented, there is a wide variety of aesthetics. And since we do not value one aesthetic over another, the jury can really choose a composition that tells a story with photography “.
