Les Messagers is a documentary film (52’) which is currently being filmed.
From Tanger to Rabat, and through Oujda and Melilla, the photographer Laetitia Tura and the director Hélène Crouzillat have shared the history of dozens of migrants. Therefore, for many of them this history is mixed with death and disappearance in scattered places, without being able to keep any traces.
From the initial question: Where are the bodies?, and using the model of an enquiry, Les Messagers follows the paths of migrants, from the Sahara to the borders of Europe. The closer we get to Europe, the more brutal and definitive are the disappearances. Either accidental or concerted, they reveal a system that rejects the unwanted ones “to the borders of the world”.
Today, this project has ripened and is searching for partnerships and sponsoring that will allow it to complete filming. This possibility offers as a counterpart the acquisition of originals.
