Getty Images presents its eighth annual awards program on the occasion of the 24th edition of the Visa pour l’Image festival. Since 2005, this scholarship program has aimed to give photographers the means to draw attention to important social and cultural questions while supporting the next steps in their artistic projects.
This year, in conjunction with the Fondation Chris Hondros, a new scholarship will reward the coverage of a remarkable current event to have taken place in the last year.
Having already supported the work of more than 40 photojournalists, Getty Images announced this year’s winners during a projection on Thursday, September 6:
– Bharat Choudhary : The Silence of Others
– Sebastián Liste / Reportage by Getty Images : The Brazilian Far West
– Kosuke Okahara : Fragments / Fukushima
