And here’s my weekly refrain. Ukraine, five of the 29 images today, the local photographers are hard at work. This war is a fool’s errand. They advance, the others retreat. Big surprise. The paranoiac in Moscow is scaring people, him and his friends in Tehran, Damascus, Pyongyang and elsewhere. And all the other people plaguing us: that insane murderer in Copenhagen, vandals, Chelsea fans, the scandalous heads of HSBC Switzerland… No cause for celebration, but a cause for us to keep fighting all this barbarism.
