Photo, radio, television and print media reportages dealing with a situation of conflict or a current event concerning the defense of freedoms and democracy must be sent before June 15th for the 2020 selection. They must have been realised between June 1st, 2019 and May 31st, 2020, and each compete for an endowment of € 7,000.
Young reporter award. In 2020: the category concerned is photography. As this is a different category depending on the year, the report presented must be produced between June 1st, 2018 and May 31st, 2020.
Ed Vulliamy will be President of the jury. It is a great talent of the Guardian and The Observer who will preside over the jury this year: Ed Vulliamy has been a war correspondent in Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Iraq and many other conflict zones. Recognized for his work and for his books on several occasions, he has notably received the Amnesty International Prize for his commitment to human rights. One foot in Europe and the other across the Atlantic, he has also produced numerous reportagess on organized crime, in Italy or on the American-Mexican border.
