Bryan Liston is a New York based photographer who has made intimate portraits of his close circle of friends since he was a teenager living in Dallas.
A groundswell of interest and support for his authentic photographic practice rose through social media, soon welcoming him as a new voice in fashion image-making.
His collaboratin with stylist Melanie Ward was first published in Self Service S/S 2019. He now collaborates with Self Service, More or Less, Rika, Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue Italia and Document. His clients include Helmut Lang, Jil Sander, Victoria Beckham, Zara and Saint Laurent.
Bryan’s capacity for collaboration, observation and subtle storytelling has become the hallmark of his photographic approach. Asked to describe his work’s aesthetic he calls it: “A bird that flew.”
