The Journées Photographiques de Bienne (Photographic Days of Biel) begin tomorrow Friday, May 5th. They will be held until 28 May in the Swiss city. Since its creation in 1997, the festival has celebrated contemporary photography and brought together around twenty Swiss and international photographers each years On the program this year, artificial intelligence pictured by Sebastian Schmieg, radioactivity questioned by Julian Charrière, a work on the time by Ola Lanko or the astonishing selection of scientific images from the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNF); and many more !
The festival displays many events: a photo safari contest, screenings, digital workshops. As part of the Image + program, the series offers a series of reflections on post-photography, new editorial means and book format.
