The time of the glaciers.
Far from the clichés of summer, this year the Mont Blanc Massif is at half mast, overwhelmed with heat, bare rocks, suffering glaciers, falling stones, closed refuges.
The always too many mountaineers are invited to other races, to other summits. The Dômes de Miage (on the right) show the last frozen vestiges.
An alpine chalet continues to make hikers dream of contemplating the peaks. This is also summer.
