One hour, one kilometer.
One hour, one kilometer is a photographic walk along the perimeter of one kilometer radius over an hour of duration. The center of this perimeter is determined by the author’s address.
This journey corresponds to the guidelines put in place for the first containment in the face of the corona virus epidemic in 2020.
53 original photographs taken at each intersection of the road and the line of the circle with a radius of one kilometer.
On each of these photographs this circle is materialized by a different photographic treatment suggesting a “wall”.
One way of evoking the Berlin Wall and the confinement situation that can result from walled-in cities or countries, a situation to be compared to that experienced by the population during the COVID 19 epidemic.
To these 53 photographs are offered in addition 56 screenshots captured from Google Earth Pro software, showing the precise cartographic location of the location of the shots.
