South Africa, chromatic portraits, directed by Nathalie Masduraud and Valérie Urréa, reflects South Africa’s contemporary history through the lens of its major documentary photographers, committed men and women, who experienced and documented forty years of theirs country’s history. These artists were confronted to apartheid’s realities and passed on to a new generation of photographers the values of the so-called “struggle photography”. This trip from David Godlblatt to Zanele Muholi, is about another way of looking at the world.
