Sophie Delaporte lives and works between Paris and New York. For more then ten years, her photographs are published in international magazines (ID, Interview, Italian Vogue, Chinese Vogue, Japanese Vogue…).
She recently collaborated with Jean Paul Gaultier, Hermès, Dior and the French department store Bon Marché. She had made them her own the phrases of Martin Harrison: “A fashion photograph that is capable of living longer then the life of a monthly magazine implies a certain duplicity. That of a photographer who is dedicated to selling a product all the while hiding his secret ambition to create art. The image of fashion is made clear between the lines of this dichotomy.”
