An innovative 10th edition of the Prize: “A Photographer for Eurazeo”
Eurazeo, a leading global investment group, has been committed for more than fifteen years to a policy that supports photography, especially through the acquisition of original works that are featured in its communication medias and exhibits in its offices in Paris and New York. In 2010, Eurazeo reinforced this policy by creating a Prize to reward the work of a photographer, professional or student, around an annual theme. This prize, called “A photographer for Eurazeo”, accompanied by an endowment of 10,000 euros, covers all fields of photography and is dedicated to all types of photographers.
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of its Photo Award, Eurazeo is launching two major innovations.
The first is to abandon the idea of an annual theme for the Prize, which sometimes, in previous editions, appeared to be too restrictive. “We were frequently led to eliminate high-quality profiles simply because they were off-topic” say Philippe Audouin, Eurazeo’s Chief Financial Officer and Jury member, and Jean-François Camp, President of the Jury since the origin of the competition. For the edition celebrating the 10 years anniversary of the Prize, Eurazeo renews the exercise and propose to the photographers to “tell stories”.
The company invites the participants to drive them to their worlds, to make the jury discover universes of their own. “We would like them to transport us, to make us dream, to think, to awaken our eyes … It’s an invitation! “, says Virginie Morgon, the group’s president, very involved in the choice of laureates and amateur photographer.
In addition, Eurazeo want to focus on its historical support on photography and its commitment to defend education and equal opportunities. Since 2015, the company supports educational and innovative projects with associations and teachers.
Thus, Eurazeo created this year a new prize called “Eurazeo for the Young Photographic Creation” in partnership with the National School of Photography in Arles (ENSP). Students and young alumni of the school are invited to reflect on the same theme. An endowment of 5,000 euros will be given to the young photographer whose series will have been chosen by the same jury, made up of professionals of photography and of the Direction of the ENSP.
The works of the two laureates will be exhibited at the beginning of 2020 at the Hôtel de l’Industrie, 4 place Saint-Germain-des-Près in Paris. They will also be presented in the Group’s communication media and will be exhibited in its offices in Paris and New York.

Call for entries
Photographers are invited to play with their imagination and to offer their vision in all fields of photography. The Eurazeo Grand Prix Photo is aimed at all professional photographers whatever their reputation or field of intervention (visual artists, photojournalists, , portrait photographer, etc.).
Each candidate is asked to give to the presented series a formal coherence that reflects a personal vision and look. The series shortlisted by a selection committee will be then submitted to the vote of the grand jury, made up of about ten members mainly from the world of photography, including a representative of the ENSP who joins our jury as part of the our partnership with the school, and representatives of Eurazeo.
