Boris Muskevich by Jean-Paul Gavard-Perret

As Danielle Mémoire writes “love presides over the path – there is no path where there is no love”. But on his way, the pictures of such a creator create mysteries to get closer.

Boris Muskevich was initially an autodidact born in 1969 in Tallinn (Estonia). He became a professional photographer in the early 90s.

At first he worked as a photojournalist for two Estonian publications, but he also branched out into fine art photography. From HaIfa (Israel) the designer also participates in exhibitions.

Making portraits of women in a masterful way, Boris Muskevich even makes “commercial” photos works of art. His discreetly intrusive photographs are the fruit less of a technique than of a vision which shows us unknowns women.

They radiate their beauty. They pass in front of us from one sun to another. It is as if each pose is loving because the artist knows how to avoid incongruous reluctance in his models.

What remains above all is the charm of muses who bask on their back not playing innocent. They dream up dreams but always keep their eyes open when others are blinded by these mirrors. They are attracted by such “gastronomic” guides.

The complicity always seems alive. A joy, a momentary awareness arrives with an unexpected visitor. Boris Muskevich welcomes her and takes care of her, not without emphasizing a subtle and powerful eroticism. He sometimes evokes from a model sometimes her inner abyss and always her mystery
