The competition to select the Villa Médicis 2024-2025 boarders is now open!
Artists, authors and researchers, send in your applications to become boarders from September 11 to October 23.
Each year, the Académie de France in Rome organizes a competition to select the boarders who will be hosted at the Villa Medici in Rome for a 12-month residency in creation, experimentation and research.
The competition is open to established French-speaking artists, authors and researchers, regardless of nationality. Entries are accepted from all disciplines of literary and artistic creation, architecture and design, arts and crafts, as well as art history and theory, or the restoration of works of art or monuments.
At the end of the competition, sixteen candidates will be selected to take up residency at Villa Medici from September 2024 to August 2025.
